My Comfy Book Nook – How To Style An Awkward Corner

October 27, 2019home

There are many things in life that I truly enjoy- and one of them is a perfectly put-together space. This is how I feel about my book nook – like it is perfectly put together (but ever-changing haha).

I am so big on self-care, and one of the ways I like to exhibit self-care is by styling and designing my space in ways that make me feel inspired and comfortable. The space I am currently in is small and slightly awkward, leaving little space to move furniture around (I know some of ya know the struggle), but I do like to switch up my wall decor and blankets, like I did here! My favorite part of this corner is how warm and comfy it feels.

This book nook gives me extra seating space in my bedroom. This is nice when I have guests over, but it is also convenient for working on school work and my blog! This is my “inspiration corner,” and I feel like it really pulls my room together. I love a cozy, comfy look, so I feel like this carpet mixed with the texture in the pillow and blanket really add to the cozy feeling of the space!

This area is quite honestly my favorite space in my apartment, which is why I feel like it is perfect.

Here is a dupe of my chair! I actually found mine at a consignment shop for under $20 (there’s a decorating hack for ya – hit up your local thrift and consignment stores before paying retail price). I’m loving the leather chair trend right now!

Sheer linen is my go-to scent because it is so good yet so subtle. I also feel like it pairs nicely with other scents! My favorite scents are subtle scents that smell cozy and warm rather than fruity or essential oil-y. I like very subtle vanilla-based smells!

This rug from amazon looks exactly like mine from Homegoods. I love how soft mine is, and I feel like a furry rug can make any space look really cozy!

Thank you so much for the love and support! If you want to read more about my home decor, click here!

self care is 100% about what is soothing/restoring self care is 100% about what is soothing/restoring to you. For some, it’s a bubble bath or a face mask, but for me it’s exploring and adventuring. It’s discovering new places and feeling this overwhelming sense of awe of God’s creation. ————
